The photoanode of dye sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) have been fabricated as a double mixture where nickel-oxide (NiO), graphene-oxide (RGO) inserted with titanium-dioxide (TiO2) using simple chemical methods the sample is coated on FTO glass by doctor-blade method using platinum as counter electrode.

After constructing TiO2/NiO-RGO photoanode, the photoanode has shown enhanced light adsorption properties, faster electron transport, lower internal resistances and lower charge recombination rate, which resulted in high current density.

The results exhibit much better conversion efficiency in comparison to the DSSCs with pure TiO2 and with TiO2/ RGO PE.
