The aim of the research was to uncover the viewpoint of journalists from Echorouk daily and Al-Nasr, newspapers in Constantine about the Media Law 1990 and its importance in controlling the media practice.

The research reached a number of results.

Most of the results were that most journalists were aware of the legal articles, And a large percentage of journalists called for an amendment to be in line with the reality of the profession.

A significant percentage of them said that they are being subjected to restrictions.

A large percentage of them expressed the need to improve their social conditions, expand freedom of expression, The percentage of journalists who believe that they fulfill the pre-defined duties in the law is estimated at more than half, while the rest confirmed that they are violating some duties and committing professional errors, including trying to track and monitor the personalities of the important figures and publishing some false news.

, And the majority expressed the fact that its cancellation was a blow to the media field, while the lower percentage was considered to be a ruling of the executive authority.
