The subject of the research deals with local trade and industry in Al-Muntafiq Tribe during the last Ottoman period (1869-1915).

The research is divided into two parts: the first part consists of trade in Al-Muntafiq tribe and its early development with mentioning the most prominent commercial products as well as how to conduct commercial operations between the cities of the tribe itself or with the other tribes.

This study also highlights the role of river roads in the tribe in the trade process with reference to the means of transport used in commercial operations; revealing the most prominent road and river roads inside the tribe, which helped to develop the activity of trade.

While the second part highlights the most prominent local industries in Al-Muntafiq tribe, which varied in the diversity of cities since the cities were different from each other in terms of the existence of local industries and quality Products, which helped the development of the local industry in the tribe
