The study aimed at identifying the obstacles that face Arabic language teachers in primary stage in using active learning strategies.

In order to achieve that, a questionnaire of 42 items was used, the questionnaire was divided into four aspects which presented obstacles that related to (teacher, school curriculum, administrative aspects and teaching environment).

The researcher used the comprehensive inventory method, the sample consisted of 450 teachers and 24 supervisors of both males and females.

The researcher used means, percentage, one way anova and "T" test, to analyze the sample responses.

The results reveled that, from teachers perspective, the most common obstacles that faced them were related to teaching environment, whereas, the supervisors' perspective revealed that the most common obstacles were related to the teacher.

In addition, the study showed that, there were no fundamental differences between teachers and supervisors about (the obstacles of using Arabic language teachers of the strategies of active learning), and there were no significant differences between the teachers point of view about ( the obstacles of using Arabic language teachers of the strategies of active learning) due to gender, on contrary, there were statistical significant differences in the obstacles due to the experience from 5 to 10 years and finally, there were statistical significant differences in obstacles that related to the administrative aspects regarding to those who got more than 3 trainings in comparison with those who did not get any training.

The study recommended that, more attention is needed from the ministry of Education for the active learning, continuous training sessions in the strategies of teaching active learning, providing teachers' guide includes the active learning strategies and related implementations
