The environmental security is an old renewed project which is not less important than arms race and border protection.

The environment is so important that its protection is an obligation and a responsibility that must be assumed by all of us.

This subject concerns both the developed and the developing counties.

For this reason, we find a lot of governmental and non-governmental organizations – like The united Nations- that help those countries to hold numerous conferences and conventions about the environmental security and the protection of the developing countries.The main objective of those conferences and agreements is toachieve environmental security and the protection of the developing countries especially from environmental degradation.

Among these countries, we find Maghreb countries, especially Algeria that is considered one of the most important countries supported by international organizations, and has got a significant role in protecting the environment and achieving environmental security on its lands.
