The research work deals with detailed modeling of permanent magnet (PM) synchronous motor (PMSM) for electrical drives application for electrical forklift’s.
In this paper, we have discussed the mathematical modeling of PMSM for electrical forklifts designing aspects of a dynamic model of PMSM block of the main model.
As because of development in the advent power electronic devices and various other advancements such as the replacement of the mechanical commutator with an electronic commutator in the form of an inverter, now, we are trying to use PM to replace the electromagnetic pole with windings requiring a less electric energy supply source on the one side resulted in compact dc machines, and on the other side, elimination of field windings results in the reduction of losses and improvement in efficiency of the machine.
In our work, we have designed a detailed model of PMSM drive application for electrical forklift and one section of this work has been presented in this paper.
In synchronous machines, the conventional electromagnetic field poles in the rotor are replaced by the PM poles and by doing so the slip rings and brush assembly are dispensed.
These developments contributed to the development of PMSMs and brushless DC machines.
Due to many applications of PMSM such as sensorless speed control, appropriate position control, and servo motor.
Mathematical modeling of PMSM is carried out and simulated using MATLAB.
The most important feature of PMSM is its high efficiency given by the ratio of input power after deduction of loss to the input power.
In the MATLAB simulation, we have tested our design with the benchmark design are varied the results.
