The objectives of this study are to follow the evolution of anxiety state of the same subject in both preoperative and postoperative situations, to carry out a synthesis of the notion of anxiety, its clinical manifestations.

It is essential to anticipate the emotional responses of patients who are candidates for lower limb amputation surgery.

The study is based on data collected during a semi-directive clinical interview with 13 patients who agreed to participate in our research and complete Spielberger state anxiety inventory.

Spielberger theory of anxiety is the theoretical framework of our study.

The anxiety comparison at each prepostoperative evaluation time was performed using Wilcoxon paired sample test.

The results, obtained show that all patients are anxious in both preoperative and postoperative periods with anxiety levels ranging from average anxiety to high anxiety

الملخص FRE

é Les objectifs de cette étude est de suivre l’évolution de l’anxiété état d’un même sujet dans les deux situations préopératoire et postopératoire, d’effectuer une synthèse de la notion d’anxiété, de ses manifestations cliniques.

Il est essentiel de prévoir les réactions émotionnelles des patients candidats à une chirurgie d’amputation d’un membre inférieur.

L’étude repose sur les données recueillies au cours d’un entretien clinique semi-directif auprès de 13 patients qui ont accepté de participer à notre recherche et de compléter l’inventaire d’anxiété état de Spielberger.

La théorie de Spielberger sur l’état d’anxiété constitue le cadre théorique de notre étude.

La comparaison de l’anxiété à chaque temps d’évaluation avant-après l’opération a été effectuée à l’aide de test de Wilcoxon pour échantillons appariés.

Les résultats, obtenus montrent que l’ensemble des patients sont anxieux dans les deux périodes préopératoires et postopératoires avec des niveaux d’anxiété allant de l’anxiété moyenne à l’anxiété élevée
