الملخص EN

Aims : This research is on cybercrimesaims to better understand the nature of exposure of such risks on the information society development.

It aims to provide guidance to students on how to assess and avoid such risks.

Among the motives for embarking on such crimes are seeking fame, desire to harm or looking for financial rewards.

The research also aims at raising awareness of cybercrimes and the risks they pose including espionage and theft of confidential information.

On the other hand, religious and ethical values which were identified are among of the most important elements in helping to prevent cybercrimes.

Methodology: The study uses the analytical descriptive approach to measure the awareness of the students of the University.

Furthermore, the research discusses the subject of cybercrimesfrom theoretical point of view including its environment, its causes, motives, risks and protection methods.

From the practical point of view, cybercrimes are addressed from an analytical perspective.

A questionnaire was distributed to students of the University in Saudi Arabia.

Results:Intensive dissemination of awareness programs for the prevention of cybercrime is required.

The media is responsible for awareness of cybercrime.

Recommendations: The competent authorities must carry out seminars and courses that contribute to educating students in terms of religious and moral education to reduce the incidence of cybercrimes by increasing the dissemination of awareness programs through the media.
