Accordingly, he introduced his new theory of well-being, the understanding of which requires a multi-dimensional theory, not a one-dimensional theory, and whose purpose is to enhance well-being and flourishing.

The present study is aimed at examining Mikhail Naima’s personality throughout his story Mudhakkirāt al-ʾArqaš reflecting his personality.

In this story, Mikhail Naima places emphasis on the necessity of self-knowledge, truthfulness, meaning, flexibility, and other virtues.

However, his hero, Arqaš, chooses silence, inclines towards solitude and grief, and is steeped in bitter memories of the past.

Therefore, emotions and positive relationships are among the missing chains in his attitude and personality.
