أساليب المعاملة الوالدية و علاقتها بالتحصيل الدراسي لدى طلاب المرحلة المتوسطة في مدرسة هارون الرشيد بمنطقة جازان-السعودية

This study aimed to identifying the relationship between parental treatment methods as perceived by the children and the academic achievement in the middle school students in Jizan region: The sample of the research was ( 40 students ) in the second middle school stage from one of the preparatory schools in Al Haqu center .

The research instruments: The study used the parental treatment scale with its two sides for the father (A) and the mother (B), by Dr.

(A'bed AbdAllah Al Nafea ,1988 ) The results of the study showed that: There is a strong statistically relationship at (α = 0.01) significance between the father's treatment methods (punishment method, reducing love, and guidance) and the academic achievement of the children.

Moreover, the results showed that There is a strong statistically relationship at (α = 0.01) significance between the mother's treatment methods (punishment method, reducing love, and guidance) and the academic achievement of the children.

The results showed also that there are no statistically significant differences at (α = 0.522) between the parental treatment as whole between fathers and mothers.
