الملخص EN

Culverts and broad crested weirs are hydraulic structures that could be used for measuring the flow rate in open channels.

In this research, a simultaneous flow over broad crested weir and through pipe culvert was simulated using the numerical software ANSYS CFX.

The different turbulence models were used for the modeling of flow turbulent.

To achieve the purposes of this research, results of simulations have been compared with data gathered from lab experiments.

The computational results showed a close agreement with experimental data obtained from the literature.

Also, results indicated that (RNG) k – ε model has the maximum accuracy in comparison with other turbulence models used in this study.
