The concept of "upgrading companies" was born from the Portuguese experience.

Its objectives were to accelerate the modernization of infrastructure supporting the industrial sector, to improve productivity and the quality of the industrial fabric.

The success of this program has pushed other countries to take initiatives to launch these programs such as the Maghreb countries.

The results of this study show that the Tunisian experience is a success, which can be illustrated by the large number of companies that joined the upgrade and its launch against Morocco, and Algeria who have been delayed in its implementation and a weak dynamic and did not know how to arouse amarked interest in the companies compared to the Tunisian program
