The relationship between financial development and domestic investment in Algeria using ARDL approach

This study aims to analyze the relationship between financial sector development and domestic investment in Algeria during the period (1990-2017).

The autoregressive distributed lag model is employed to examine whether financial sector development impact domestic investment in both short-run and long-run.

The findings reveal that broad money ratio has a negative impact on domestic investment in the long and short run.

However, both credit provided to private sector and savings to GDP were found to be the key driver of domestic investment in the long run
