Many constitutions and laws provide for freedom of the press and associated liberties, such as freedom of opinion, expression, printing and publication, and in any case are bound by legal restrictions in various formulations, such as: within the limits of the law or by law or in accordance with the law and conditions , Or provided that it does not exceed the limits of the law.

On the other hand, there are many international conventions, conventions and principles that protect these rights and freedoms.

These principles have become philosophically a historical development that no government can publicly reject because they have become customary international law.

When dealing with the applications of these rights in the areas of information, it is confirmed from the outset that the principles contained in the constitutional texts, international covenants and agreements, and practice is another.

When evaluated in the same field, it is clear that these principles are not of actual value.

In this research we show the most important international conventions governing the work of the media, and then the extent of the response of the laws governing this work in the internal legal system of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq to those peoples and through this research it can be said that the media work is of great importance in delivering facts and information to the public and a means of monitoring State institutions and direct influence of public opinion, has received great international attention, there are a lot of international agreements, treaties, declarations and conventions that provide protection to the category of workers in the media, and are divided into international conventions and declarations and conventions The first organizes the media work in peacetime, and the second organizes it in wartime.

And that all international conventions and declarations guaranteeing the rights of media in times of peace and war have contributed significantly and significantly to the development of media work and provide international support for it, and to ensure the rights of journalists and their fundamental freedoms.

We also believe that there is a clear response to the international laws governing the media work by the internal legal system of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, represented in particular by the press work law in Kurdistan - Iraq No.

35 of 2007 and the Right to Information Law No.

11 of 2013 .

These laws provided real legal guarantees for the freedom of information work in the Territory.

However, despite the existence of laws in the internal legal system of the Kurdistan Region - Iraq is consistent with international legal standards, but in practice and practice there are still many obstacles stand in the way of doing this work freely.
