The current research aims to determine the specificity of corporate social responsibility in Algeria.
The literature emphasizes that CSR covered a multitude of fields and included sectoral, cultural and geographical specificities.To achieve this goal, we conducted a case study on some industrial sector companies because they best meet the three fundamental pillars of CSR, namely: the social aspect (sponsorship, patronage, donations), the economic aspect (seeking financial gain), and the environmental aspect (pollution control).
The study shows that CSR activities come in two dimensions: the voluntary dimension that encompasses all members of society, and the legal dimension that, for the company, represents an imperative or constraint.
الملخص FRE
Le présent travail de recherche vise principalement à déterminer la spécificité de la RSE en Algérie.
La littérature souligne que la RSE couvrait une multitude de domaines et comportait des spécificités sectorielles, culturelles et géographiques.
Pour atteindre cet objectif, nous avons mené une étude de cas sur quelques entreprises du secteur industriel parce qu’elles répondent au mieux aux trois piliers fondamentaux de la RSE à savoir : l’aspect social (sponsoring, mécénat, dons), l’aspect économique (recherche du gain pécuniaire), et l’aspect environnemental (lutte contre la pollution).
L’étude montre que les activités de RSE se déclinent en deux dimensions : une dimension volontaire qui intègre tous les membres de la société, et une dimension légale qui, pour l’entreprise, représente un impératif ou une contrainte.
