In this paper, I will try to make you understand the view of the inferior status of the wife in Algerian society in the context of community violence which is practiced by the husband against the wife, and its impact on both her private life.

As that of the husband's violence against the wife in its various forms, whether verbally, physically, emotionally, sexually, and so on, cannot be seen as a ritual of the Algerian man except that there is a background and factors devoted to a mental image linked to the historical relationship between the sexes.

Therefore, we have to study in sociocultural violence against the wife of Algerian society to scold in its historical, social and cultural contexts with all the paradoxes and budgets, to know the nature of the relationship between husband and wife within the nuclear family and the extended family.

All this is in the midst of the questions presented by the sociocultural representations of violence against the wife, its causes, types and sociological background
