Electronic banks are considered by the international banking as subjects of great interest due to their advantages that are different from conventional banks where they seek to achieve a set of goals.

They are a place of job creation and management.

They also provide electronic payment methods that enable customers to access electronic banking services.

The latter seeks to keep up modern technology and benefit from it to provide the best techniques as fast as possible in shortcut the effort and reducing service costs.

That all made it complemented to the conventional banking services.

Moreover, we note the use of these services significantly in the developed countries.

But despite this development, there is a big gap in the Arab countries.

There are still obstacles that made them lagging compared with developed countries.

The aim of Our research is to try to question what banks are, as they are considered as one of the purposes of the digital economy, through several axes dealing with electronic banks in various aspects as appearance, concept, goals, services, advantages and risks of such banks in addition to studying the reality of electronic banks in the world in general and the Arab world in particular.
