The role of the policy support and the government institutions on the renewable energy deployment in Algeria

We develop (OLS) method to study the long-run coefficient between the contribution of renewable energy to total energy supply(renewable energy deployment variable), the institutional overall score (IV) or the government institution, the renewable energy policy (REP), per capita gross domestic product (GDP) and energy use (EU)in Algeria over the period 1995-2016.

We found that the (REP), per capita (GDP) and (EU) have a negative and insignificant sign.

However, the coefficient of (IV) was positive and insignificant.
