الملخص الإنجليزي

This experiment was carried out in flowerpots in the lath house / Department of Horticulture and Landscaping/ College of Agriculture/ Tikrit University during the season of 2016-2017 to find out the response of scarlet sage (Salvia splendens L.) to paclobutrazol and nerium water extract.

experiment with two factors was carried ; first factors was paclobutrazol spraying with two concentrations 0 and 100 mg.

liter-1 , and the second factor was addition of nerium water extract with five levels; 0 , spraying with nerium water extract at 1% and 2%, and irrigation with nerium water extract at two levels of 1% and 2%.

The experiment was planned based on Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replicates.

The results showed that spraying with paclobutrazol reduced the plant height significantly to 14.95 cm and increased the chlorophyll content significantly.

While, the addition of nerium water extract increased chlorophyll content and reduced the length of the flowering raceme to 5.93 cm, both significantly.
