Effect of using diffrent concentrations of hydrogen peroxide and formalin compared to formaldehyde evaporation in sterilization of hatching eggs of broiler

The study was conducted in Private Babil Hatchery and completed in the Microbiology Laboratory of the Animal Production Department / College of Agriculture / Al-Qasim Green University for the period 16/02/2016 to 10/3/2016.

The study investigated the effect of using three concentrations of formalin and H2O2 solution (0.5, 1, 1.5)% to reducing the Colony Formation Unit(CFU) of Aspergillus sp., Echerichia coli and Salmonella Which are found on the surface of the eggshell hatching the broiler .

The sterilization coefficients of the formalin and hydrogen peroxide solution significantly reduced the CFU of Aspergillus, E.

coli, and Salmonella sp.

compared to formaldehyde evaporation and control at the first day before incubation, at 9 and 18 days of incubation.
