الملخص EN

The research aims to find out the availabili0ty of Arabic language skills (receptive and productive) in the Arabic language books for seventh and eighth grades (first and second semesters) of basic education stage (the second cycle).

To achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher prepared Arabic language skills scale (receptive and productive) that are included in Arabic language books of the seventh and eighth grades.

This scale is presented to a group of referees in order to investigate its validity.

Those referees gave many suggestions.

Then, the scale was modified according to their suggestions.

Then, it was applied and its results' validity were calculated.

Then the content of the Arabic language books of the seventh and eighth grades was analyzed according to the steps and rules of analysis.

The results of the research show that Arabic language books of the seventh and eighth grades contain many (receptive and productive) skills.

The degree of its existence in the previous books differs, but there is no balance in the percentage of its existence in the Arabic language skills (receptive and productive) through their learning and evaluative activities.
