The research aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the roles of educational institutions in establishing a waqf culture in Saudi society, using an evaluation matrix for their roles.

The descriptive and analytical approach was used, where the relevant literature was reviewed to devise the foundational elements of the endowment culture, and a evaluating matrix was designed for the effectiveness of the roles of educational institutions in establishing and disseminating the endowment culture.

An evaluation questionnaire for the roles of educational institutions was distributed to (40) individuals in the western region of Saudi Arabia; sample responses were discussed in (5) workshops at Dallah Academy for Voluntary Work in Jeddah.The results showed that the evaluation outcome of the institutions ’roles in establishing and spreading endowment culture was 54.8%, which reflects the limited performance of its educational roles.

Educational institutions received the highest rating (68.9%), followed by religious bodies in second rank with a percentage of (64.3%), then the family came in third place with (60.1%), then the media ranked fourth with a rate of (52.6%), then the bodies Legislative and security ranks fifth (50.4%), then social and sporting organizations ranked sixth (44%), and health agencies ranked The research concluded .(43.5%) seventh and last with a number of recommendations to activate the roles of community institutions in the areas of education, and some proposed future studies in this field.
