The aim of the study was to find out the effect of gender and type of visual disability on the level of physical activity of visually impaired students between the ages of 12-14 years.

The research sample included 75 pupils and students with visual disabilities who were studying at seven schools for the visually impaired in the western region of Algeria.

The researchers used the descriptive method of surveying with their reliance on the PAQ-C questionnaire as a tool for collecting data on the level of physical activity.

The results showed that the level of physical activity of children and adolescents with visual impairment is low, visually impaired students are more physically active compared to their blind counterparts, and that gender affects the level of physical activity in children and adolescents visually impaired and for the benefit of boys.
