Weather and climate affect the tourism sector.

Tourism is dependent heavily on the climate as the main feature to encourage tourists.

This study deals with climate as a factor affecting the options of tourist where the attractive of the area depend heavily on weather and climate as important factors determinate the demand of tourist in the study area.

The research aims to discover the sensitivity of climate on the tourism destination selection and determine it’s importance as a factor intervening in the tourism flow to Abha city in Saudi Arabia.

The study depends on the data derived from Presidency of Meteorology and Environment Protection.

Questionnaire designed to obtain data for tourists to recognize the characteristics of tourists and their tourism’s goals.

The research revealed that Abha city is one of the attractive tourism city and it’s moderate climate plays significant role in attracting tourism especially in summer.

The study also found that the climate is determing factors on the tourism demand and has agreat important on tourism decision.

The study recommended the tourism planners and those interested in the tourism sector in Saudi Arabia to develop the tourism sector in Abha city, and take the advantages of the climate in the tourism attraction.
