Iraq had a leading role in the face of the Wahabbi call.

From the very beginning and directly in the intellectual debate in the Arabian Peninsula with the Wahhabi sheikh and his followers.

This was due to various reasons: Ibn Abd al-Wahhab visit to Basra, where he lived ther som time, The people of Basra get him expelled in 1739 because of his deviant behavior, repeated Wahhabi raids on Iraq's borders and correspondence to some of Iraq's scholars, and accusing most of his family of infidelity, especially Muslims who magnify Ahlubait Role and begging them to God Almighty.

Thus, the scholars of Iraq and Baghdad in particular had a position on the Wahhabi call.

Among them was (Sheikh Dawood bin Sulaiman al- Baghdadi al-Naqshbandi), known as the Ebn Jarjis (1816-1881), who was considered as the greatest opponent of Wahhabi at all at the end of the 19th century.

He confronted Wahhabis with his works, The ideological basis on which the Wahhabi call was based on scholar arguments is irrefutable.

It has no Islamic legitimacy.

It revealed many of the negative aspects of the Wahhabi call and radicalization away from the teachings of Islamic law.
