The current research (The Role of Power in Ancient Iraqi Sculptural Works) has contributed to the clarification of the influence of power in the ancient Iraqi sculpture, as the texts of the reading carried expressionistic meanings with innumerable meanings, so the concept of authority is open to interpretation according to the factors that may control the understanding of its relationship With other concepts such as environment, culture, belief, religion and other factors that influence the process of its interpretation in the old Iraqi art.

Therefore, the current research included four chapters.

The first section was devoted to the problem of the research, which was presented and summarized in the possibility of answering questions, including: Does the authority establish a system of circulation in the old Iraqi art? And what are the obvious means that show the impact of power in the old Iraqi sculpture ?? Chapter I: The importance of research and the need for it, and the purpose of the research was determined by (B) the effect of the authority on the old Iraqi grammar, and the limits of the research: (3200 BC - 700 BC).

As for the second chapter, the theoretical framework included two sections.

The first is the first topic: First, the authority is conceptual and its historical transformations, while the second is the "representative of power in the old Iraqi art.

The third chapter included research procedures.

A community was identified, a sample was taken in an intentional manner (5) models (artistic sculptures), and the research methodology was defined as (descriptive) and the method of content analysis.

Chapter IV is devoted to the review of findings, conclusions and recommendations.

Among the findings of the study: 1- The expression of the self and the means of employing power in the grammatical achievement, gives it symbolic and symbolic dimensions, in addition to the dominant form of reality in the dual representation (oppressor, oppressed, master and slave) and others.

As in all sample models.

Chapter IV contains recommendations and proposals, followed by a list of sources, references, annexes and a summary of the research in English.
