After a brief survey of the relationship between the word and the idea, this study deals with “Arabic lexicography”, by presenting two main procedures : the semasiology and the onomasiology; with special emphasis on the former.
This research paper presents the different ways of presenting the Arabic lexicon ( in a total or partial way), the order base (phonetic or alphabetical) and the nature of classification (dircct or indirect) ; all this in the light of diachronic details and synchronic commentaries
الملخص FRE
Apres un bref apcr^u lie a la relation entre le mot et l’idce, 1’auteur aborde deux demarches principales dans le domaine de la lexicographie arabe : la semasiologie et l’onomasiologic en s’ap-puyant principalement sur la premiere demarche.
Cette etude resume les differents types de presentation du lexique (d’une maniere totale ou partielle), de l’ordre (phonetique ou alphabetique) et la nature de la classification (directe ou inverse) et ce a la lumiere des donnees diachroniques et des commentaires synchroniques.
