Sheikh Tayeb OKBI is considered as one of the pioneers of reform in the Arab and Islamic world in general, and in Algeria in particular during the 20th century.

It was not only an impassable barrier to French colonialism that aimed to distort and eliminate the Algerian identity, but also a man of religion who defended Is lam against ignorance, through its literary and critical production.

In addition, he was one of the scholars of the Association of Algerian Muslim scholars (Ulema) who sought to purify the Islamic religion of impurities and heresies.

He remained a faithful man to his ideas, his principles and his nation until his death.

But his thoughts remained as a beacon for anyone who loves his homeland and Islam.
