The building of a positive image of a country does not depend only on advertising and communication activity, but must be accompanied by full activity of marketing and political communications, and if there is a failure in the performance of the state, this will affect negatively its emotional image.

Thus, the study aimed to identify the relationship between the political turmoil and emotional image of the state, and the impact of political relations on this relationship.

The study followed a descriptive approach, and has built a model of research and hypotheses on what is stated in the study.

Due to the nature of the study, it depended on random sampling, where a questionnaire was designed to collect the data.

The sample size consisted of 160 respondents and 93.1% of these questionnares were retreived.

Alpha Cronbach’s test was used in order to test the reliability of data; besides using the regression method to test the hypotheses of the study.

The study results indicated that there was no relationship between the domestic economy and emotional image.

Furthermore, it partly explains the relationship between public relations, political turmoil, and emotional image.

In addition, it showed that public relations has no effect between political stability and emotional image.

Also, the study does not explain the relationship between public relations, the domestic economy, and emotional image.

Moreover, it indicated the existence of a negative strong relationship between public relations, community violence, and emotional image.

The study recommended a number of theoretical and practical proposals, which should be considered by decision-makers and academics in the future.
