Evaluation of the antimicrobial efficacy of hand gel sanitizer on hand hygiene

In vitro testing of antimicrobial agents is an important tool in the testing hierarchy, and may provide interesting insights into their potential clinical efficacy.

In vitro testing of antimicrobial agents is benefit in screening antimicrobial agents in product formulations because such these agents which tested both in vitro and in vivo activity may have reduced antimicrobial effects when formulated into a hand clean prospective .

Bactericidal activity of various hand gel sanitizer was performed against bacterial strains Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeroginosa, Bacillus subtilis, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Staphylococcus epidermidis ascertain the efficacy of four hand gel sanitizer (Dettol , Chicco ,Cleaner , HiGeen) by volunteers use.

Also the effect of four hand senitizers on bacterial isolated study by agar well diffusion method .The result showed the Dettol and Chicco more effect than other type of soaps in all this methods.
