Far from the formal linguistic theories which mainly consider the proper name as the poor relation of linguistics.
The question of names is treated in this research in a somewhat unusual angle.
Under the light of new thinking, Kleiber (G) (1995, 1996, 2004 and 2006), turns out that the cognitive role of proper names can help address the proper names in a new perspective .This article explains how to identify cognitively the notion of "individual" in terms of individuating categorization applied to the literary onomastics area.
The proper name "Wadigazen" taken the first new novel "The songs cannibals" Yasmina Khadra is the subject of this study.

Loin des théories linguistiques formelles qui considèrent majoritairement le nom propre comme le parent pauvre de la linguistique.
La question des noms propres est traitée dans cette recherche sous un angle un peu inhabituel.
Sous l’éclairage des nouvelles réflexions, de Kleiber (G) (1995, 1996, 2004 et 2006), s’avère que le rôle cognitif des noms propres peut aider à aborder les noms propres dans une perspective nouvelle .Cet article explique comment cerner cognitivement la notion de «particulier » en termes de catégorisation individuante appliquée sur la matière onomastique littéraire.
Le nom propre « Wadigazen » pris de la première nouvelle du roman « Les chants cannibales » de Yasmina Khadra fait l’objet de cette étude.
