The effect of hydrocarbons sector on trade openness and foreign direct investment indices in Algerian economy

This study aims to explain the poor performance of trade openness and foreign direct investment indices recorded in Algerian economy the last few years.

to do so, the analysis has been based on the Dutch disease phenomenon and other studies that explain the negative effect of natural resource dependence.

SPSS software statistical analysis revealed several findings, essentially that there is a negative relationship between natural resource dependence and trade openness and foreign direct investment performances.
