Colon lipoma is a benign tumor rarely encountered in routine clinical practice.
most often asymptomatic, it gets rarely complicated by intestinal obstruction.
we report the case of acute intestinal obstruction on lipoma in a 62-year-old woman.
the abdominal computed tomography confirmed the occlusion, specified its seat and showed the colonic tumor mass.
the intervention consisted of a resection of the right and transverse colon.
histological examination confirmed the diagnosis of lipoma.
from this new case and after analysis of the literature, we discuss the clinical characteristics, diagnostics and therapeutic possibilities of this rare pathology.
الملخص FRE
Le lipome colique est une tumeur bénigne rarement rencontrée en pratique clinique courante.
le plus souvent asymptomatique, il se complique rarement d'occlusion intestinale.
nous rapportons le cas d'une occlusion intestinale aigüe sur lipome survenue chez une femme de 62 ans.
la tomodensitométrie abdominale a confirmé l’occlusion, précisé son siège et a montré la masse tumorale colique.
l’intervention a consisté en une résection du colon droit et transverse.
l’examen anatomopathologique a confirmé le diagnostic de lipome.
à partir de ce nouveau cas et après analyse de la littérature, nous discutons les caractéristiques cliniques, diagnostiques et les possibilités thérapeutiques de cette pathologie rare.
