The study sought to clarify the greatest general political knowledge sources, the level of political knowledge, political demands and the obstacles of political participation among people with special needs in the govemorate of Karak.

The study adopted the descriptive survey approach, the questionnaire of this study was greatly dependent on.

The study Population was composed of the people with special needs in Karak govemorate amounting to almost (950) individuals.

In the study, the researcher used the vertical cluster sample made up of (127) individuals with disabilities in Karak govemorate.

For the purposes of statistical processing, the SPSS software package was used to analyze the data.

The study showed that most of the general political knowledge sources among people with special needs is the family with a (%28.3) percentage, then comes social networking sites with a (%23.6) percent, and in third place came both the television and radio with a percentage of (%16.5).

The highest political demands for the people with special needs is applying the employment percentage on the governmental departments which is (%4) with a (%95.3) , then acquiring a job with a (%90.6).

The greatest obstacles for political participation for people with special needs is inequality of rights for those with disabilities, while the lowest obstacles was the knowledge regarding the lack of adequate freedom for people with special needs.

Based on the study findings , it recommends the following: Conducting more researches on the level of political participation of people with special needs in different regions of the Kingdom, in addition to amending some of the laws and legislations particular to the people with special needs so that they suit the needs of these groups.
