In a context where other emerging countries are drawing up their plans for Africa, it is interesting to question the stakes of the recent rush from India to the continent.
More specifically, the emergence of India has pushed it to reconfigure its relations with African countries by handling both the spirit of South-South cooperation and an assumed realpolitik.
Beyond its traditional partners in East and South Africa, India has expanded its trade interests and cooperation, to include many African countries, notably the countries of French-speaking Africa.
The preeminent question that this contribution proposes, therefore, relates, among other things, to the real political and geoeconomic motivations that underlie India's recent African policy

Dans un contexte où d'autres pays émergents dressent leurs desseins pour l'Afrique, il est intéressant de questionner les enjeux de la récente ruée de l’Inde vers le continent.
Plus précisément, l’émergence de l’Inde l’a poussée à reconfigurer ses relations avec les pays africains en maniant à la fois l’esprit de la coopération Sud-Sud et une realpolitik assumée.
Au-delà de ses partenaires classiques de l’Afrique de l’Est et du Sud, l’Inde a étendu ses intérêts commerciaux et sa coopération, pour inclure de nombreux pays africains, notamment, les pays de l’Afrique francophone.
La question prééminente que se propose donc cette contribution, porte, entre autres, sur les véritables motivations politiques et géoéconomiques qui sous-tendent la récente politique africaine de l’Inde.
