Among the themes often dealt with in literature, we find the theme of women, expressed in different aspects.

All that concerns the woman is given a strong attention both by both male and female authors.

The female body is one of the main themes in literature because it alludes to provocation, sensuality and taboo.

It is treated by various authors especially in women's literature, and particularly in the feminist one.

In this article, we highlight the theme of the female body and so as the ways in which it is defined by the described culture and society.

We would like to emphasize the theme of the female body and the gender role in contemporary female literature by comparing the two literatures; Algerian and Italian.
