Music and sound effects accompanied theatrical performance.

They are considered as a fundamental means in explaining and expressing events because they have dramatic principles which were employed during theatrical performances throughout the history of drama.

Music is an active element in child theatre .

It has suspense and excitement , in addition to attracting the attention of the audience i:e,children Music contributed effectively in developing the child ‘s ability to sense beauty And in widening his mental horizons.

Thus , the role of music and sound effects in the childs’ theatre becomes a need not as mere luxury .

The importance of this paper is due to its value for the students of institutions and colleges of Fine Arts , as it will be an authentic reference which felps and ibcreases their ability of fin art ,as it will be an authentic reference which helps and increases their ability of how to deal with music .

It also helps researchers , especially directors , composers and authors.

The aim of this paper is to be acquainted with the role of music and sound effects in the Childs theatre .

Chapter two consists of three divisions : the first is about the child and music ;the second is about the importance of music and sound effects in the child's theatre .

As for the third division, deal's with child theatre.

The results of this chapter are summed up in the following points .

1.

The child's theatre is of a grand importance as it enriches the lives of children with values and principles and deepens the religious , sensational and historical awareness as well as providing meaningful existence of their humanity .

2.

Music has a strong impact which contributes in raising the child from various aspects .

lt also provide flexiblity to their bodies while dancing .

lt softens his reactions and excitments and helps in developing his language and his physical senses .

Chapter three : the procedures ) .

The researcher takes the performance of a play called " The Golden Feather " as an example .

The play is written by Jalil khazaa'l , directed by lkbal Naeem and performed by the National group for Acting , during the First Local Festival for the childs' theatre ; April ˻˹˹˺ .

Results: 1- Music, sound effects, song's and rhythm participated in the (Golden Feather) play by putting the receivers inside a fantasy dream through the six song's that came within the show .

2- The opining song was not good enough because it didn’t carry the main idea with the form that it should be suitable with the show event's, but the other song's came to its role in translating the theme and idea , except the (Thanks' for Grandmother) .

As for the last song, carried full of educational and moral ideas of the play.

Conclusions: 1- Music is language, everyone can understand it if it is used in a correct way.

2- Music has the power of entertainment and drag the Attention of the child fantasy that had its own roles.
