الملخص EN

The current research aimed to evaluate the performance of the academic advisor at the College of Education and Arts at Northern Border University from the students' point of view during the second semester of the academic year 2017/2018.

The research followed descriptive analytical method, instruments included academic performance evaluation questionnaire , and Informal interviews which Applied to a random sample of (153 Males and 238 Female).

The results of the research showed that the performance of the academic advisor in the areas of understanding the regulations of academic affairs at the university, and the academic advisor communication with others and the academic guidance were low, while the performance of the academic advisor in the field of communication with the academic advisor were medium .

The results also showed no statistically significant differences between the average responses of students according to gender variable in the four dimensions.

The students offered some suggestions to improve the efficiency of the performance of the academic advisor, the most important are ؛ Announcement of office hours at the beginning of each semester, provide a place for academic guidance, two hours per week for academic guidance should be added in the general timetable of the College
