الملخص الإنجليزي

The objective of this research is to study housewives' management of family income and its relationship to their purchasing behavior under the conditions of floating the Egyptian pound through a set of sub-objectives which included: determining the levels of family income management and purchasing behavior of housewives' sample of study under the conditions of floating the Egyptian pound.

Studying the relationship between some variables of the socio-economic level of the families of women sample of study and their management of family income and their purchasing behavior.

The interpretation of the differences between the housewives' sample of study in the management of family income and their purchasing behavior according to their place of residence and their work.

The research tools included: the general data form, the housewives' questionnaire of family income and the housewives' questionnaire of the purchasing behavior.

The research was carried out on a sample of (358) housewives from various socio-economic levels in Menoufia governorate and Al-Gharbia Governorate.

The research most important findings of the research included: there is no correlation between the number of the housewives' family members sample of study and their management of family income.

There is a correlation between the number of the housewives' family members sample of study and their purchasing behavior at significant level (0.05).

There is no correlation between the educational level of the housewives sample of study and their management of family income.

There is a correlation between the educational level of the housewives sample of study and their purchasing behavior at significant level (0.05).

There is a correlation between the management of family income by the housewives sample of study and their purchasing behavior at significant level (0.001).

There are differences between rural and urban housewives sample of study in their management of family income at significant level (0.001) in favour of rural housewives, whereas there are no differences between rural and urban housewives sample of study in their purchasing behavior.

There are differences between working and non-working housewives sample of study in managing their family income at significant level (0.001) in favour of non-working housewives.

There are no differences between working and non-working housewives sample of study in their purchasing behavior
