The researcher used the experimental method on a sample of (24) students in the third division of the Faculty of Physical Education - Sadat City University, they were divided into two groups, one experimental And the other a female officer of 12 female students.

Research tools include: General mental ability assessment "Intelligence" - Evaluation form for the performance level of some rescue skills in swimming - Educational program based on competitive learning.

The researcher used the following statistical methods: arithmetical mean - standard deviation - median - torsion coefficient - T test - coefficient of correlation - improvement rates %.

The most important results are: 1.

The use of competitive learning method has a statistically significant positive effect at (0.05) on the level of performance of some of the rescue skills in swimming (50m freestyle - drawing of the doll - side swimming 25m - swimming and head out of the water 25m.
