This paper aims to put forward an analytical view enabling for the implementation of the cognitive social theory of Julian Rotter and the concepts it provides concerning the occurrence of a particular behavior, from among existing behaviors, acquired during various life experiences, and resulting from the individual’s preference of a particular outcome and his perception of the possibility of acceptance of this outcome; it also aims to understand the phenomenon of affiliation to different groups in the individual’s life, which is considered as an exigency for satisfying various psychological and social needs, the beginning of which will be during the early life stages where the peer group occupy gradually an important place within various interactivity contexts, here, for example, the child will precisely prefer a particular group through adopting patterns of behavior endowed with prior assumed importance but contrary to the norms of his family.
