this study aimed to present the effect size (practical significance) as a complementary method of examining statistical hypotheses.

The researcher's examination of the effect size value through the extracted data provides two significant benefits: First it presents an estimation of the relationship between the two variables independent and dependent.

The second advantage is that it provides other researchers with an idea about the strength of the relationship or the effect size of the independent variable on the dependent variable; therefore, the importance of the statistical significance of educational and psychological research is not sufficient to indicate that this correlation or mean difference has an impact and educational value.

For this reason, it is necessary to calculate the practical significance along with the statistical significance to explain the nuanced percentage of the independent variable which is due to the dependent variable and no other external factors.

To achieve this, comes this study to clarify some statistical indicators used to indicate the value of the impact size in case of using statistical methods (T.

test, F,k2), as well as to present the concept of impact size and its extreme importance in covering the shortcomings of research hypotheses due to the traditional reliance on the statistical significance methods, and to highlight its role in rationalizing decisions relating to research hypotheses in general.

The researcher adopted the descriptive approach with the evaluation type, because this study is considered as a feedback for psychological and educational research degree (M.A/Ph.

D) completed in the field of psychology and education in some Algerian universities.

This study was applied to a sample of master's and doctoral research in psychology and education at the Algerian University and it consisted of 347 papers with a ratio of 5123 hypothesis, the researcher concluded that the most common statistical indication tests are (T.

test) and that the reference rate in these researches to the impact size is very low, and the extracted impact sizes derived from the reality of these tests are low.
