The aim of this study is to analyze the issue of motorways of the sea for the economic development and commercial competitiveness of Algeria.

For this purpose, we favored an analytical and statistical approach based on port performance indicators for the periods before and after the implementation of the motorways of the sea at the port of Bejaia in 2015.

The study shows that the issue of setting up these motorways of the sea in Algerian ports is important for a better control of the import and export deadlines and the logistical costs of international transport.

However, this strategic sector for the Algerian economy requires the limitation of constraints relating to the organizational framework, customs procedures and the development of infrastructure (ports and land services).

الملخص FRE

Cette étude a pour objet d'analyser l'enjeu des autoroutes de la mer pour le développement économique et la compétitivité commerciale de l'Algérie.

Pour cet effet, nous avons privilégié une approche analytique et statistique basée sur les indicateurs de performance portuaire pour les périodes d'avant et d'après la mise en exploitation de l'autoroute de la mer au port de Bejaia en 2015.

L'étude montre que l'enjeu de la mise en place de ces autoroutes de la mer dans les ports algériens est important pour une meilleure maîtrise des délais d'import et d'export et des coûts logistiques du transport international.

Toutefois, ce secteur stratégique pour l'économie algérienne exige la limitation des contraintes relatives au cadre organisationnel, aux procédures douanières et au développement des infrastructures (portuaires et de dessertes terrestres).
