This article studies the process of construction of the mythical character in Maissa Bey’s novel, first of all, it analyzes how the narrator presents the story of hizya.

She presents it as a legend that becomes mythical during the story .then it studies the various traces that make it possible to read the myth of the eternal return.

In addition, the article highlights the different forms of marginality : particulaly what the main character has experienced .

This character turns out was build up in opposite way of mythical character .

Even though we can say that charachter is postmodern mythical character.

L'article étudie le processus de construction du personnage mythique dans le roman Hizya de Maïssa Bey.

Il analyse, tout d'abord, la façon dont la narratrice présente l'histoire de Hizya.

Elle la présente comme étant une légende qui se mythifie au cours du récit.

Il étudie, ensuite, les diverses traces qui permettent de lire le mythe de l'éternel retour.

Par ailleurs, l'article met en avant les différentes formes de marginalité: une marginalité vécue par le personnage principal.

Ce dernier construit comme, au préalable, l'opposé de personnage mythique se révèle être un personnage mythique postmoderne.
