Abstract EN

The research aims to know ( the effect of strategy of demand in developing literary taste skills among fifth- secondary stage students/ Literary branch, The researcher has chosen Thawrat Al-Hussein Secondary school that is related to Baghdad Education, Rusafa / the third, ; he has selected two sections of fifth- secondary students ( experimental and control), the sample includes ( students), with 34 for the experimental group and 32 student in the control group.

The researcher ahs studied the research groups and that include the curriculum established to be studied within the 1st course ( 12 topics) of the literary and reading book.

After the researchers have formed the behavioral goals and literary taste skills ( 19 skills); the prepared study plans that are suitable for it and testing the literary taste.

The latter consists of 38 items, the test is applied on the research groups and results have resulted into existing a statistical difference between the experimental group and control group in test of literary taste for the benefit of experimental group ).

In the light of the research 's results, the two researchers have recommended to trust strategy of demand when teaching the reading and literary book.

For completing the current research, the two researchers have suggested to make a study similar to the current one in other variables
