Abstract EN

The current study aimed to determined the problems related to the construction and development of the curriculum from the point of view of the members of the committees of Academic Plans and Programs at King Khalid University.

The study was based on the descriptive approach and a questionnaire was built on a sample of faculty members participating in the committees of Academic Plans and Programs at King Khalid University.

The results show there was problems related to the design of plans and the development of curricula, such as focusing the process of building or developing study plans on the knowledge side, rather than focusing on skills development, repetition of information by courses and failure to cope with recent changes and lack of compatibility with the labor market.
