The study aimed to identify the relationship between actively open-minded thinking and academic procrastination among university students.

The sample consisted of (157) male and female students in the third department of the Faculty of Education, DamiettaUniversity.

The tools of the study consisted of the actively open-minded thinking scale and academic procrastination scale.

The study found that level of actively open-minded thinking and academic procrastination among university students is below average, There are no statistically significant differences in actively open-minded thinking and academic procrastination due to the variable gender differences (male / female), There are no statistically significant differences in actively open-minded thinking due to the variable of study specialization (scientific / literary), There are differences of statistical significance in the academic procrastination due to the variable of study specialization (scientific / literary) for students of literary specialization, There were no statistically significant differences in actively open-minded thinking due to the variable of place of residence (rural / urban), There are statistically significant differences in academic procrastination due to the variable of place of residence (rural / urban) for the benefit of the urban and There is a statistically significant negative relationship between actively open-minded thinking and academic procrastination among university students.
