Abstract EN

This study aims at evaluating early intervention services given to handicapped children at special education centers from Mothers' perspective.

The study sample consists of (140) mothers of handicapped children who attended public and Private special education centers at the first semester of 2016/2017.To attain the objectives of the study, the researchers developed questionnaire, which consists of (34) items distributed over four dimensions.

A test was carried out to check the validity and reliability of the tool.

The results of study revealed the following: Mothers of handicapped children show high score of early intervention services level in general, at all items and dimensions of the questionnaire.

There are statistical significant differences at (a< 0.05) of the levels of early intervention services at special education centers attributed to private centers, and to mothers' educational level in favor of university graduates.

Concerning the above results, the researchers provide a number of recommendations that emphasize the importance of introducing positive early intervention services capable of effectively enhancing the process and in turn improve the services given to handicapped children at the public centers of special education.
