Abstract EN

The past period has witnessed-and still is-various emergency events and crises, including the global spread of the virus (COVID-19), which has affected education in all parts of the world, and teaching and learning of mathematics has been affected, as has been affected by other courses, whether in schools or universities.

The current paper reviews some of the shadows cast by these emergencies and crises from changes to learning/teaching in general and mathematics learning/teaching, and some of the effects and lessons learned that formed some future features of teaching and learning mathematics.

The paper also presented a sample of educational implications as recommendations that dealt with distance education, evaluation, education outputs and e-exam preparation.
