Abstract EN

The current research aimed at developing a program based on micro-training and the principles of the brain-based learning in order to investigate its effectiveness in developing the scientific thinking skills, the teaching skills of the scientific thinking and self-assertiveness.

The program was administered to a sample of the science student teachers at the Faculty of /Education, Al-Azhar University (Cairo) during the academic year 2017/2018.

The current research developed the following instruments: the scientific thinking scale for assessing the scientific skills, an observation checklist for assesing the teaching skills of the scientific thinking, and the professional self-assertiveness scale.

The results of the research portrayed the effectiveness of the program based on micro training and brain-based learning in developing the scientific thinking skills, teaching of the scientific thinking skills, and selfassertiveness of the research sample.

The current research recommended designing suggested programs to contribute in developing the scientific thinking teaching skills among the science department student teachers.

The research also recommended activating the micro training and the brain-based learning principles via providing the suitable environment to develop the scientific thinking skills and the teaching of the scientific thinking skills among the student teachers.
